Overview
Saturday Classes are offered on selected Saturdays in the fall and spring for ages 2
through 7 to learn about the Zoo's animals and explore the Zoo. All classes are from 10:30 to 12:30.
Each Saturday Class includes a:
- featured Zoo animal information lesson,
- special in-Zoo activity,
- live animal presentation,
- craft activity related to the featured Zoo animal,
- guided tour of Zoo to view and learn more facts about the featured
Zoo animal.
FORT WORTH ZOO MEMBERS
Zoo members receive priority registration when they submit their completed Registration Form to the Education Department. Members must include their valid membership identification number on the registration form to be verified for current eligibility.
REGISTRATION
A Registration Form is required for each participant. Be sure to complete each section of the form. If any information is missing, your Registration Form is not processed until all information is completed. List your session choices in numerical order of preference.
PARTICIPATION WITH OTHERS
If you want to register to attend a session with one or more other particapants, pleast write the names of all participants on all forms. Every effort will be made to grant your request but it cannot be guaranteed. We will call you if the requested session for the group is full.
HEALTH FORMS
An Emergency Health Form is required for all class participants. The form will be sent with your receipt, Parent Newsletter and parking passes. Complete the Emergency Health Form and bring it to the first class your child attends.
PAYMENT
Complete the payment section of the Registration Form. The Zoo accepts payment in cash, money order, check and credit card. If payment is made by credit card, be sure to include the number, expiration date and the name on the card. The Zoo does not accept temporary checks.
RECEIPT
Once your completed form is processed, you are mailed a receipt of payment and parking passes for each class. You also receive a Parent Information Brochure and Emergency Health Form.
REFUNDS and DATE CHANGES
A full refund or date change is given if a request is made 30 days before the class date. Requests for a change of class date or refund must be made in writing and mailed, faxed, brought to the Education Center or emailed to education@fortworthzoo.org. No refund or change of class date will be given if the request is received less than 30 days before the class start date.
