Education Programs
Educators of all types, formal and informal, classroom teachers, naturalists, camp counselors, scout leaders and more are welcome to come and explore the curriculum and activities available through the Fort Worth Zoo's Educational Programs. The Fort Worth Zoo can help make your students' visit a wonderful and memorable learning experience through Zoo instructor-led Education and Animal programs. (Program availability changes seasonally. All programs are subject to price changes).
Registration:
Reservations for programs may be requested by completing a Student Group Reservation Form and Guidelines Form and then faxing the forms to the Fort Worth Zoo Education Department at 817/759-7201. Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance. Check the appropriate information on the form under Education Programs.
Once completing and faxing the forms allow two weeks to receive confirmation of your requested Education or Animal Program via fax.
Cancellations:
To cancel your program you must call at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled visit. Refunds cannot be given after this time period.
Animal Programs
Students of all ages (PreK — 12th) can experience Zoo animals presented in a fun and informative program at the Fort Worth Zoo Education Center. This program is available January through May, Tuesday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. only.
Education Programs
- COLORS AND PATTERNS (Ages PreK - 2nd Grade)
Learn how colors and patterns help animals hide, hunt and survive in their habitats as our Wild Wonders crew introduces colorful and camouflaged Zoo friends. This program is designed for ages Pre-K through 2nd grade and is offered October through mid November, Tuesday through Friday, at 10:30 a.m. only. (Requires 2 weeks advance notice.)
- ANIMAL BEHAVOR (Ages PreK - 12th Grade)
Its fun to act like a monkey or run like a giraffe! Animal behavior programs are a Zoo instructor led program, January through May, Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. only. A maximum of 50 students may register for this program. (Requires 2 weeks advance notice.)
