Weekday Edventure School 2007-2008

FWZQuality Programming in a Natural Setting

The Fort Worth Zoo offers a natural environment in its Zoo School with your child as the focus of the curriculum. Zoo School provides 3- to 5-year-olds hands-on activities and Zoo trips to learn about wildlife and the environment as they also develop social, language and cognitive skills.

Your Zoo Scholar will:

  • Experience an activity-packed, three-hour class.
  • Participate in unique and interactive animal activities.
  • Learn about Zoo animals and wildlife conservation.
  • Enjoy live animal presentations and field trips into the Zoo.
  • Develop social, language, artistic and cognitive skills.
  • Receive an Edventure School T-shirt.

Student Information:

  • The student to teacher ratio is 9-to-1.
  • Students enroll for the entire school year, 32 weeks.
  • Students must be 3, 4 or 5 years of age before 09/01/07.
  • Students must be toilet-trained.

Class Sessions and Times:

  • Session dates are September 10, 2007, through May 15, 2008.
  • Each class is three hours in length and meets once a week, either in the morning or in the afternoon.
  • Classes are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m.

Tuition:

    $695 for 32 weeks

Discounted Tuition:

    A discount of $50 will be given for any of the following reasons:

  • Parent of child is current Zoo member.
  • Child was in Weekday Edventure School during 2006-2007 school year.
  • Child's sibling was in Weekday Edventure School during 2006-2007 school year.
  • Parent is enrolling more than one child in Weekday Edventure School 2007-2008 school year. (Additional siblings must share same address.)
  • Discounts do not apply after September 1, 2007


Family Perks:

  • Register and pay in full by June 15, 2007, to receive a plush tiger backpack and four complimentary Zoo admission passes. Tickets valid August 1, 2007, through December 31, 2007.
  • Host a Birthday Party in the Education Center during the 2007-2008 school year for any of your children ages 4-12 and receive 10percent off your Party package price.

Weekday Edventure School Information Nights

An informative presentation is available at 6:00 p.m. on August 21, 2007.

In-Class observations available upon request.
