Teacher Programs and Workshops
Teachers have fun exploring the Fort Worth Zoo's
animals and their habitats while they learn how to use the Zoo to
teach the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and earn professional
development credit hours too!
REGISTRATION
A Registration Form is required for each participant. Be sure to complete each section of the form. If any information is missing, your Registration Form is not processed until all information is completed. Payment is due with registration.
PAYMENT
Complete the payment section of the Registration Form. The Zoo accepts payment in cash, money order, check and credit card. If payment is made by credit card, be sure to include the number, expiration date and the name on the card. The Zoo does not accept temporary checks.
RECEIPT
Once your completed form is processed, you are mailed a receipt of payment and parking passes for each session.
REFUNDS AND SESSION CHANGES
Refunds and/or session changes must be requested at least 30 days before the session begins. These requests must be made in writing and mailed, faxed or brought to the Education Center. No refund or session date change will be given if the request is received less than 30 days before the session start date.

Project WILD
Project WILD (Wildlife In
Learning Design) is an
activity-based program about wildlife and habitat. The activites
are designed for easy integration into varied curriculums including
language arts, social studies, math, art and science for kindergarten
through 12th grade

Aquatic WILD
The waters of the earth, in some form, are within walking distance from anywhere on the planet. The Aquatic WILD Curriculum serves as an invitation to explore and understand the fascinating world of water and the aquatic habitats it supports. It is an activity-based program designed for easy integration into varied curriculums.

Texas Wild! Teacher Institute 2008
Visit wildlife in native habitat exhibits from six regions of Texas;
Gulf Coast, Hill Country, High Plains and Prairies, Pineywoods
and Swamps, Brush Country and Mountains & Deserts,
in a three-day consortium. Use the curriculum to address Texas wildlife
conservation and related environmental and economic issues.

Professional Texas certified teachers receive 18 hours credit
from the Texas Education Agency, 18 hours credit from the Texas
Environmental Advisory Committee, 18 Gifted and Talented credit
