Penguins are "Back in Black"! Opening Saturday, April 12, Penguins make their big splash at the Zoo in their new home complete with a beach for the penguins and underwater viewing for guests.

On Friday, June 6, come to the Zoo's annual tasting event. Enjoy the Zoo after-hours with music, drinks and fine fare from Fort Worth's top-area restaurants.

Meet your guide outside the Education Center, to the right of the main Zoo plaza. Hear a keeper give an expert talk about the featured animal and then photograph at your leisure You may stay in the Zoo to enjoy many other animals throughout the day.
Each session is one half-hour from 9:30 to 10 a.m.
Event occurs weather permitting.

Teacher Workshops
Teachers have fun exploring the Fort Worth Zoo's animals and their habitats while they learn how to use the Zoo to teach the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and earn professional development credit hours too! Workshops available in June and July.
Fort Worth Zoo Travel Program
Travel with the Zoo and become a wildlife globetrotter! Trips to Africa scheduled for June and August.
Summer Zoo Camp
For kids, three to those entering 6th grade, to learn about wildlife and explore the Fort Worth Zoo. Camp starts in June.
Zoo Careers Camp
A unique opportunity for high school students (entering 9th grade to 12th grade) to experience many occupations in a world-class Zoo.
Home School Day
On Thursday, October 2, 2008, all home-schooled children and their families are invited to a fun-filled educational day at the Fort Worth Zoo.
